Alice Bowen 
Alice was born in 1856 in Potton, Brome, Quebec, Canada. Alice's father was Sr. Bowen H. Shubael and her mother was Sarah Sargent. Her maternal grandparents were Dominicus Sargent and Joanna Miles. She had ten brothers and seven sisters, named Sumner, Francis, Henry, Dennis, Edgar, Mark Edgar, Augustus George, Warren W., Daniel, Jr. Bowen H., Nancy Jane, Luscha, Matilde, Anna, Mercy, Ellen and Mary. She was the fourth youngest of the eighteen children. She died at the age of 78 in 1934.-
