Matilda was born in 1270 in Dunham Massey, Bucklow, Cheshire, England. Matilda's father was Hammon De Massey and her mother was Mary De Beauchamp. Her paternal grandparents were Hamon V Massey and Alice Whitney; her maternal grandparents were Robert De Beauchamp and Alice De Mohun. She was an only child. She died at the age of 57 in 1327.-
