Catherine was born in 1310 in Wigmore, , Herefordshire, England. Catherine's father was Roger Mortimer and her mother was Joan De Geneville. Her paternal grandparents were Edmund De Mortimer and Margaret De Fiennes; her maternal grandparents were Piers De Geneville and Joan Lusignan. She had a brother and a sister, named Edmund and Margaret. She was the youngest of the three children. She died at the age of 59 on September 6th, 1369 in St Marys, Warwick, Warwickshire, England.-
