Eleanor was born in 1217 in Aix-En-Provence, , , France. Eleanor's father was Raymond Berenger and her mother was Beatrice De Savoie. Her paternal grandparents were Alfonso Alfonsez Provence and Gersinde De Sabran; her maternal grandparents were Thomas I Count Of Savoy and Beatrix De Geneva Faucigny. She had three sisters named Eleanor, Marguerite and Beatrice. She was the second oldest of the four children. She died at the age of 74 on June 24th, 1291 in Amesbury, , Wiltshire, England.-
