Thomas was born in 1763 in Exeter, Washington, RI, USA.1 Thomas' father was John Rathbun and his mother was Anna Hopkins. His paternal grandparents were John Rathbone and Experience Mott; his maternal grandfather was William Hopkins and his maternal grandmother is Mary Tibbetts. He had four half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Daniel, Tibbets H, Simeon, George, Experience, Mary, Marion, Lydia and Susannah. He died at the age of 54 in 1817.1 -
