William Palmer 
William was born on January 25th, 1820 in Brookfield, Madison, New York, USA.1 William's father was Lemuel Palmer and his mother was Martha Babcock. His paternal grandparents were William Palmer and Phebe Darrow; his maternal grandparents were Oliver Babcock and Tacy Maxson. He had four brothers and eight sisters, named Nathan Babcock, Milo Lafitt, Hiram Shield, Alfred Bennett, Almena, Child, Louisa, Priscilla, Aurilla, Harriett, Esther and Martha Ann. He was the fifth youngest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 50 in 1870.1 -
