Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Hungerford and Joan Hussey; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Peverell and Margaret Courtenay. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Walter, Edmund, Robert Lord, William, John, Elizabeth, Joan and Alice. She is the fourth youngest of the ten children.-
