Alfred Birney was born on March 10th, 1871 in Noble Township, Rush, Indiana, USA.1 Alfred Birney's father was George Wells Brown and his mother was Margaret Patterson. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Brown and Elizabeth Taylor; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Thomas Patterson and Nancy Davis. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Samuel Thomas, Garrett Alphus, George Wilson, Lewis Jesse, Laura A, Lydia Florence and Delphia Ethel. He was the third youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 70 on March 28th, 1941 in Marion, Indiana, USA.1 -
