Daniel was born in 1708 in New Milford, Litchfield, CT, USA.1 Daniel's mother was Abigail Walker. His maternal grandparents were Joseph Walker and Abigail Prudden. He had five brothers and three sisters, named John, Robert, Ebenezer, Joseph, Lemuel, Sarah, Mary and Hannah. He was the fourth youngest of the nine children.
