Amanda BROWN 
Amanda was born in 1873 in West Elizabeth, Allegheny, Pennsylvania, USA.1 Amanda's father was J. Charles Brown and her mother was Jane Johnson. Her paternal grandparents were Robert BROWN and Ann Lowden; her maternal grandparents were Robert Johnson and Susanna STOKER. She had four brothers and six sisters, named Robert, Charles Augustus, William, Charles Palistine, Susannah (Susan), Ann, Margaret J., Elizabeth, Mary Elizabeth and Jane. She was the second youngest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 56 on December 25th, 1929 in Hudson, Stafford, KS, USA.2 General Notes
When my grandfather Clifford Keeler's brother Roy died of the flu epidemic in Panama during WWI, Charles and Anna Brown held his service at the mansion. Roy was Amanda Brown Keeler's oldest son. Here husband, John Henry Keeler, died of a ruptured appendix 2 weeks later. How horrible that all must have been for her. My mom was crazy about her. Mom often spoke of Nanna Amanda and combing her hair. I also have Amanda's hankie that she carried when she married John Keeler. My grandmother carried it when she married Cliff and my mom carried it at her wedding, I carried it at mine and both my sons wives carried it at their weddings. It is very plain but I love it dearly.
