Adelheid was born in Savoie, Rhone-Alpes, France.  Adelheid's father was Humbert II de Maurienne & Savoy and her mother was Gisele De Macon De Bourgogne.  Her paternal grandparents were Amadeus II de Savoie and Joan of Switzerland; her maternal grandparents were William I "The Great" of Burgundy and Stephanie (Etiennete) De Longwy. She had two brothers and a sister, named Amadeo III, William of and Agnes. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Guillaume VI and Joan Giovanna.  She died on November 18th, 1154.  She was buried in Abbaye de Montmartre, Savoie, Rhone-Alpes, France.


Adelheid's first family with Louis VI Capet of France

‌Adelheid and Louis VI Capet of were married in a religious ceremony in April 1115 in Paris, Ile-de-France, France.  They had seven sons and a daughter, named Philippe, Louis VII "The Younger", Henri, Robert of, Hugues, Pierre I, Philippe and Constance of.
