Pierre was born about 1480 in France. Pierre's father was Robert de Balsac and his mother was Antoinette de Castelnau. His paternal grandparents were Roffec II de Balsac and Jeanne de Albon; his maternal grandparents were Antoine de Castelnau and Catherine de Chauvigny. He was an only child. Guillaume was born on December 14th, 1514 in Marcoussis, France. He died at the age of 41 in 1555 in of wounds received in the battle of Renty.
