James Sr. York 
James Sr. was born about 1756. James Sr.'s father was Thomas York and his mother was Elinor Aldridge. His paternal grandparents were Jeremiah York and Sarah Seymour. He had two brothers and four sisters, named John, William, Susanna, Letitshe, Lydithe and Elinor. He was the third youngest of the seven children. He died in 1784.-
