Halfdan the Mild of was born in 0754.  Halfdan the Mild of's father was Oystein I Halfdansson and his mother was Hildi Eiriksdatter.  His paternal grandparents were Halfdan "WhiteLeg" Olafsson and Asa Eysteinsson; his maternal grandfather was Eirik Agnarsson.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 46 in 0800.
