Reinoud II "the Black" was born about 1295 in Gerldern, Rheinland, Prussia. Reinoud II "the Black"'s father was Rainald I of Guelders and his mother was Marguerite De Dampierre. His maternal grandparents were Willem Van Vlaanderen and Alix Van Clermont. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Guido, Philip, Margaret, Philippa and Isabel. He was the youngest of the six children. He died on October 12th.-
