Salomon's father was Rivallon. His paternal grandfather was Frodaldus. He was an only child. He died in 0874.
General Notes
Saloman became ruler of Brittany after the murder of his cousin, Duke Erispoe. In 863, Saloman signed the treaty of Entrammes with Charles I of France, where Anjou was recognized as a part of Brittany. He was murdered in 874, and was succeeded by his son in law.
His name is Breton is Salaun. He is also called Saint Soloman, but only the popular tradition did canonize him and raise him to the rank of martyr.
