Edmund was born on September 18th, 1704 in Richland Twp, Bucks, Pennsylvania. Edmund's father was George Phillips and his mother was Patience Griffith. His paternal grandparents were Edward Phillips and Sarah Raphes; his maternal grandparents were Howell Gordwainer Griffith and Joan Evans. He had four brothers and five sisters, named John, George Jr, Stephen, Abraham, Susannah, Diane, Mary, Rebecca and Lydia.General Notes
Note: EDMUND PHILLIPS, son of George and Patience (Griffith) Phillips, born in Philadelphia County, 9 mo. 18, 1704, died in Warrington Township, York County, 10 mo., 1775. He removed with his parents to Richland in 1713, and continued to reside there until 1751, when he removed to Goshen Chester County, and from there to Warrington in 1757. He married, at Gwynedd Monthly Meeting 2 mo. 25, 1729, Elizabeth Davies, of Montgomery Township
