Emma of was born about 0987 in Normandy, France.  Emma of's father was Richard I of Normandy and her mother was Cunnora or Gunnor.  Her paternal grandparents were William I of Normandy and Espriota De Bretagne St. Liz; her maternal grandparents were Harold VII (or IV) Blaatand ' Bluetooth' Gormss and Gynrithe Olafsdotter. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Richard II of, Mauger De, Robert I, Robert, Maud of, Hawise of and Beatrix of. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Geoffrey, Guillaume I d'Hiemois et, Fredistina or Fredesende of and Muriella of.  She died in England.  She was buried about 1093 in reburied aroung St. Swithin's shrine after original church demolished.
