Alice was born in Hereford, Herfordshire, England. Alice's father was Ranulph Le Meschin and her mother was Lucia of Mercia. Her paternal grandparents were Ranulph le Meschin and Maud d'Avranches; her maternal grandparents were Turold of Lincoln and Alvarissa Malet. She had three brothers named Ranulph, Ranulph and William De. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Earl of, Christina and Beatrice. She died after 1142.General Notes
