Maud 
Maud was born on August 5th, 1102 in Winchester, Hampshire, England. Maud's father was Henry I 'Beauclerc' of England and her mother was Matilda (Edith) of Scotland. Her paternal grandparents were William I of Normandy and Matilda Forrester; her maternal grandparents were Malcolm III Canmore and Margaret the Saxon. She had two brothers and a sister, named William The, Richard and Euphamia. She had ten half-brothers and thirteen half-sisters, named Robert of, Reginald FitzRoy, William, Gilbert, Earl of, William, Henry, Monk at, Richard of, Baron of, Sybilla of, Matilda, Alice, Emma, Gundred, Eustacie, Rohese, Nun at, Isabel, Abbess of, Maud, Constance and Joan. She died at the age of 67 on September 10th, 1169 in Notre Dame, Rouen, Seine-Maritime, Normandy. She was buried in Abbey et Bec, France.General Notes
Matilda was designated Henry's heir and on his death (1135), Stephen seized the throne and Matilda invaded England (1139) inaugurating a period of inconclusive civil war. She and her second husband, Geoffrey, captured Normandy and in 1152 the Treaty of Wallingford recognised Henry as Stephen's heir.
Burke's says she was betrothed in her eighth year (1119) to Henry.
