His paternal grandparents were Gorm 'The Old' Dem Gammel and Thyra Danebod; his maternal grandparents were Olaf "Mitkg" Bjornsson and Ingeberg Thrandsdottir. He had three sisters named Cunnora or, Gunnhild of and Thyra Blauzahn. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Herfast and Woerta.General Notes
