Sheriff of Nottinghamshire and's father was Earl of Derby and his mother was Sibyl De Braose. He had a brother named Robert.  He died on September 22nd, 1247.

‌Sheriff of Nottinghamshire and and Agnes of were married in a religious ceremony in 1192.  They had two sons and two daughters, named 5th Earl of, Hugh, Sibyl and Bertha.
