Cecilia was born about 1090 in Belvoir Castle, Belvoir, Leicestershire, England.  Cecilia's father was Roger Bigod and her mother was Adelaide de Todeny (Tosny).  Her maternal grandfather was Robert de Todeny (Tosny).  She was an only child.
