Johan George was born in Hirschland, Alsace Lorraine, Germany (now France) and his baptism took place there. Johan George's father was Hans Dietrich Bieber and his mother was Anna Eva Catharina Lentz. His paternal grandparents were Ulrich Bieber and Anna Eva Weber. He had two brothers named Dewalt and John.
