Her paternal grandfather was Humbert I De+ Savoie and her paternal grandmother is Ancilla De+ Noyen; her maternal grandparents were Manfredo II Udalrich Di+ Torino and Berta D'+ Este. She had two brothers and a sister, named Amadeo II De+, Pierre I De+ and Adelaide De+. She was the second youngest of the four children. She had a half-brother named Gebhard I Von+.
