Petronilla D'+ Aragon 
Petronilla D'+ was born in October 1136 in Huesca, Spain. Petronilla D'+'s father was Ramiro II D'+ Aragon and her mother was Agnes D'+ Aquitaine. Her paternal grandparents were Sancho I (V) D'+ Aragon and Felicie De+ Montdidier; her maternal grandparents were Guillaume IX D'+ Aquitaine and Mahaut Philippa De+ Toulouse. She had a half-brother named Guillaume I De+. She died at the age of 38 on October 13th, 1174 in Barcelona, Spain.General Notes
Petronilla married Count Berenger IV of Barcelona, who did not become joint regent. In 1163, Petronilla abdicated in favor of her son, Afonso II, and she continued as his regent and controller of state affairs, even after he came of age. Afonso later named himself king of Aragon and Cataluna.
