Alfonso, known as "the Noble", was born on November 11th, 1155 in Soria, Castile.  He died at the age of 58 on October 6th, 1214 in Gutierre Munoz, Avila, Castile.  He was buried in Monasterio De Las Huelgas, Burgos, Castile.
