William was born about 1185 in Buckinghamshire, England. William's father was Ingelram de Fiennes and his mother was Sibyl de Boulogne. His paternal grandfather is Alan de Fiennes; his maternal grandfather was Lord Pharamus de Boulogne of Martok and his maternal grandmother is Matilda. He was an only child. He died in 1241 in Holy Land.-
