Her paternal grandfather was Lord Richard FitzPons de Clifford of Cantref Bychan and her paternal grandmother is Maud de Pitres of Gloucester; her maternal grandfather was Ralph de Toeny IV and her maternal grandmother is Alice of Northumberland. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Richard, Walter, Rosamunde and Lucia. She was the third oldest of the five children. She died in Richard's Castle, Shropshire, England.-
