King Shapur III of Persia 
Shapur was born about 0325 in Armenia or Khazakstan. Shapur's father was King Shapur II of Persia. His paternal grandfather was King Hormisdas II of Persia. He was an only child. He died in 0388.General Notes
Shapur III was king of Persia from 383 to 388. Son of Shapur II, he was elevated to the throne by the magnates against his uncle, Ardashir II, and killed by them after a reign of five years. He concluded a treaty with Theodosius the Great.
