Sigurd, known as "the Fat", "the Stout" "Digri", was born in Orkney, Orkney Islands, Scotland.  "the Fat", "the Stout" "Digri"'s father is Earl Hlodver Thorfinnsson of Orkney and his mother is Princess Audna Afrika Kjarvalssdatter.  His paternal grandfather was Earl Thorfinn Rollo ("Hausakliffer" [Skull-splitter]) Einarsson I of Orkney and his paternal grandmother is Grelod Duncansdatter; his maternal grandfather was King Cearbhall macDunghal of Ossory & Dublin. He had a sister named Hvarflad.  He died  due to died in battle on April 23rd, 1014 in Battle Of Clontarf, Dublin, Ireland.  He was buried in Burial Mound, Hofry, Caithness, Scotland.

‌"the Fat", "the Stout" "Digri" and "Thora Donada" were married in a religious ceremony about 0988 in Scotland.  They had two sons and two daughters, named Brusi, "the Black", "the Mighty", Aelgifu and Sigurdsdottir.
