Edgar, known as "the Peaceful", was born in Wessex, England.  "the Peaceful"'s father was King Edmund ("the Elder", "the Magnificent") I of the English and his mother was Aelfgifu.  His paternal grandparents were King Edward ("the Elder") d'Angleterre I of England and Lady Eadgifu of Kent; his maternal grandfather was Earl Sigehelm of Kent.  He was an only child.  He died on July 8th, 0975 in Winchester, England.  He was buried in Glastonbury Abbey.


"the Peaceful"'s family with Aelfthryth

‌"the Peaceful" and Aelfthryth were married in a religious ceremony in 0964 in Wessex, England.  They had a son named "the Unready" (without counsel).
