Edgar, known as "the Peaceful", was born in Wessex, England. "the Peaceful"'s father was King Edmund ("the Elder", "the Magnificent") I of the English and his mother was Aelfgifu. His paternal grandparents were King Edward ("the Elder") d'Angleterre I of England and Lady Eadgifu of Kent; his maternal grandfather was Earl Sigehelm of Kent. He was an only child. He died on July 8th, 0975 in Winchester, England. He was buried in Glastonbury Abbey.General Notes
