Rachel was born on June 8th, 1825 in Greene Co., PA. Rachel's father was Valentine Eckelberry Jr. and her mother was Alice Cumberledge. Her paternal grandparents were Valentine Eichelberger and Leonora; her maternal grandparents were George Washington Cumberledge and Rachel Barber. She was an only child. She died at the age of 74 on February 23rd, 1900 in Wetzel County, WV. She was buried in Sand Hill Cem, Greene Co, PA.-
