Emperor Alexius Comnenus I 
Alexius was born about 1048 in Constantinople. Alexius' father was John Comnenus and his mother was Irene Dalassene. His paternal grandparents were Prefect Manuel Comnenus of the East and Anna; his maternal grandparents are Prefect Alexios Charon (Pharo, "the Patrician") Dalassenes of Italy and Dalassena. He had a half-brother named Pedro. He died on August 15th, 1118.General Notes
