Robert Crawford was born on September 4th, 1813 in Steubenville, Jefferson, OH, USA.1 Robert Crawford's father was James Wilson and his mother was Mary Ann Adams. His paternal grandparents were James Wilson and Agnes Henderson. He had five brothers and two sisters, named William Duane, Henry, John Adams, Edwin, Joseph Ruggles, Mary Jane and Anne Elizabeth. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named James Emmett and Margaretta.
