Sytje was born in 1690 in Roxborough, Philadelphia, PA, USA.1 Sytje's father was Nicholas Rittenhouse and her mother was Wilhelmina Dewees. Her paternal grandparents were William Rittenhouse and Geertruid Kersten Pieters. She had seven brothers and six sisters, named William, Henry, Matthias, Mattias, Catherine, Gerhard, Peter, Catherine, Sijten Sophia, Psyche, Susanna, Catharene and Elizabeth. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Nicholas and Wilhelmina. She died at the age of 58 in 1748 in Philadelphia, PA, USA.1 -
