Sion was born on May 13th, 1816 in Greenville District, SC, USA.1 Sion's father was William Johnson and his mother was Bartheny Young. His paternal grandfather was Benjamin Ware Johnson; his maternal grandparents were John Franklin Young and Susan Elizabeth Parker. He had three brothers and a sister, named John Young, William, Hiram and Susannah. He was the third oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 72 on January 6th, 1889 in Laurel, KY, USA.1 -
