Henry Sylvester was born on March 19th, 1866 in Bonnerdale, Hot Springs, AR. Henry Sylvester's father was John William Henderson and his mother was Elizabeth M Covington. His paternal grandparents were Abner Newton Henderson and Levisa Vice Alford; his maternal grandparents are Levi Melchedic Covington and Margaret M. Sawyer. He had five brothers and eight sisters, named Abner M., John A., Joseph W., Levi M., George, Nancy L., Melvina Alice, Arnetta, Margaret, Mary Emily, Alice, Annie Ananda and Isabella.
