His paternal grandparents were John Wright and Grace Glascock; his maternal grandparents were William C. Cranbroke and Mabel UNKNOWN. He had three brothers and two sisters, named James, Thomas, Samuel, Mary and Lydia. He was the youngest of the six children.-
