Jane was born about 1828 in Manchester, Lancashire, England. Jane's father was Samuel Walker and her mother was Alice Myers or Mayho. Her paternal grandparents are John Walker and Sarah Davis UNKNOWN. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Samuel, Peter, John, Sarah, Elizabeth (Betsey) and Sarah.
