Rainer (Regnier) was born in 0952 in Hainaut, Belgium.  Rainer (Regnier)'s father was Regnier III Count Of Hainaut and his mother was Adele Von Ringelheim Of Louvain. He had a brother named Lambert I 'The Bearded'.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died at the age of 61 in 1013.
