Michel Ritter was born about 1630 in Westhofen, Rheinhessen. Michel Ritter's father is Hans Ritter and his mother is Anna Maria Sauers. His paternal grandparents are Antes Ritter and Mrs. Cordula Ritter; his maternal grandfather is Mr. Sauers. He had a sister named Anna Maria. He was the older of the two children. Michael became Catholic during the 30-year war, but came back to the
evangelical reformed church afterwards. He lived at Obere Blenz Nr. 10,
originally owned by his father, Hans. Michael md. 1651 Agnes from
Niederlanderin, who died. Then then md. Maria Dress of Worms. He died in
1682. Michael sold the house, and none of his male descendants were nam
ed as
owners. His female descendants have carried on the family to the prese
nt time.
The home was badly damaged during the 30-year war.
