Elgiva and Athelred (Ethelred) II 'The Unready' were married in a religious ceremony in 0985.1 They had eight sons and four daughters, named Athelstan, Edgar, Edmund II "Ironsides", Edred, Egbert, Edwy, Edward, Edric, Edith, Elgiva, Wulfhilda and Dau Of Athelred II.
