John was born in 1664 in Newport, Newport, Rhode Island.  John's father was Henry TIMBERLAKE and his mother was Mary (TIMBERLAKE). He had three brothers and three sisters, named William, Henry, Joseph, Elizabeth Timberlake, Elizabeth and Hannah.  He was the youngest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 42 in 1706.
