Philip Smith 
Philip was born on April 30th, 1633 in Whatfield, Suffolk, England and his baptism took place about 1633 in St. Mary-Virgin, Hadleigh, Suffolk, England. Philip's father was Samuel Smith and his mother was Elizabeth Chileab. His paternal grandparents are Samuel Smith and Barbara Mumforde. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Samuel, Lieut. Smith, Chileab, Chileab, John, Elizabeth and Mary. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 51 on January 10th, 1685 in Hadley, Hampshire Co., Massachusetts.
