John was born about 1205 in Shirland (Derbyshire) ENG. John's father was Henry Grey and his mother was Isolda Bardolf. His paternal grandfather is Richard Grey; his maternal grandparents are Hugh Bardolf and Isabel UNKNOWN. He had five brothers and a sister, named Richard, William, Robert, Walter, Henry and Joan. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He died in 1230 in Spain.-
