Halfdan was born in 0704 in Romerike, Buskerud, Norway.1 Halfdan's father is Olaf Ingjaldsson and his mother is Solveig Halfdansdotter. His paternal grandparents are Ingjald Onundsson and Gauthild Algautsdotter; his maternal grandfather is Halfdan Solfasson. He was an only child.
