Christian was born about 1524 in Ramsey, Essex, England. Christian's father was John Marvin and her mother was Mrs Margaret (Mervyn) Marvin. Her paternal grandfather was Thomas Marvin and her paternal grandmother is Christiane UNKNOWN. She had four brothers and two sisters, named John, Reinold, Thomas, Richard, Margaret and Marion.
