Elizabeth was born about 1378 in of Mendlesham, Suffolk, Engl.. Elizabeth's father was John Knyvett and her mother was Joan Botetourt. Her paternal grandparents were John Knyvett and Eleanor Basset; her maternal grandparents are John Botetourt and Katherine(Cather Wayland. She had a brother and three sisters, named John, Margaret, Margaret and Elizabeth. She is the oldest of the five children.-
