I Henri 
I was born in 1006. I's father was II Robert and his mother was Constance Taillefer. His paternal grandparents were Hugh Capet and Adelaide de Poitou of Normandy; his maternal grandparents were William III Taillefer and Adelaide de Anjou. He had a brother and two sisters, named I, UNKNOWN and UNKNOWN. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 54 on August 4th, 1060 in Vitre-en-Brie.General Notes

rother ROBERT, supported by Eudes, count of Chartres and Troyes, was put d

rant of the duchy of Burgundy (which continued in his family until 1361
). Henry supported the duke of Normandy (1047), but led a coalition again
st him two years later, and was defeated. He boycotted the pope and his s
ynod at Reims, and, like his son and successor, opposed the reform moveme
nt in the church. The prevots were introduced to administer justice and t
axation in the royal lands. The kingdom of Burgundy passed (1032) to t
he empire."
